The successful candidate will provide enterprise database administration and SharePoint infrastructure support in a secure DoW environment. This position requires extensive experience administering Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint 2019 on-premises, Windows Server technologies, cybersecurity compliance, and enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a highly structured mission-focused environment.\nMain Responsibilities:\nDatabase Administration\nInstall, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server 2019 - 2025 environments across development, test, and production systems.\nDesign, implement, and support secure, highly available database solutions.\nMonitor database health, performance, and capacity; perform query tuning, index optimization, and routine maintenance.\nManage database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.\nConfigure and maintain high availability technologies including Always On Availability Groups and failover clustering.\nImplement database security through access controls, encryption, auditing, and STIG compliance.\nTroubleshoot database performance, connectivity, replication, and integrity issues.\nDevelop automation scripts using PowerShell and T-SQL to improve operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with developers on database design, schema changes, stored procedures, and application performance optimization.\nCreate custom reports based on customer requirements.\nSharePoint Administration\nAdminister and support SharePoint Server 2019 on-premises environments, including installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and upgrades.\nManage SharePoint farms, site collections, service applications, content databases, permissions, and Active Directory integration.\nSupport SharePoint customizations using ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, C#, CSOM, and SharePoint Server APIs.\nConfigure and maintain document libraries, lists, workflows, and enterprise collaboration features.\nPerform SharePoint backup, restoration, disaster recovery testing, and system maintenance.\nProvide technical support to site owners and end users while resolving SharePoint-related issues.\nSecurity, Operations & Collaboration\nApply DoD STIGs, RMF security controls, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity best practices.\nMonitor system availability and participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and change management activities.\nGather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and implementation plans.\nMaintain technical documentation, system configurations, standard operating procedures, and architecture diagrams.\nCollaborate with system administrators, network engineers, developers, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders to support mission objectives.\nProvide technical mentoring, knowledge transfer, and occasional after-hours support during maintenance windows or operational requirements.\nMinimum Requirements\n Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.\n7 or more years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint 2016/2019 in an enterprise on-premises environment; or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4 years of relevant experience.\nMeet DoD 8140 advanced level workforce qualification requirements.\nStrong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and security.\nStrong experience with SharePoint Server 2016/2019 administration and enterprise farm management.\nExperience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and third-party utilities such as Quest and Bamboo.\nExperience implementing STIGs, RMF security controls, vulnerability remediation, and DoD cybersecurity compliance.\nStrong understanding of relational database design, normalization, indexing, query optimization, and data modeling.\nExperience with PowerShell, T-SQL, and automation scripting.\nExperience performing database migrations, upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity operations.\nExperience developing database design documentation including Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), functional specifications, and technical documentation.\nExperience supporting structured testing, validation, configuration management, and change management processes.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex database and infrastructure issues.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and technical documentation, especially related to their integration with SharePoint and use of macros.\nAbility to work independently or within a multidisciplinary technical team under demanding operational schedules.\nStrong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical teams and government stakeholders.\nOther requirements:\nThis is a non-remote, full-time on-site position located in Spokane, Washington.\nStandard work schedule is 40 hours per week/8 hours per day with the occasional need to flex hours based on customer support needs.\nSome after-hours or short-term shift work may be required to support urgent customer requirements, including weekends and holidays.\nOccasional travel may be required (0-10%).\nMust be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time working in an office environment.\nMust be able to lift various sizes of materials and equipment (up to 50lbs).\n Compensation & Benefits:\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $120,000 to $150,000 (Annual rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
