This position will assist with and lead SLCM-N development, installation, and training efforts for SLCM-N Fire Control, providing systems engineering expertise in support of our customer.\nThe Senior Systems Engineer will support the evaluation and development of new concepts, technologies, software, hardware, and weapon system capabilities while providing technical guidance and systems engineering support for Navy strategic systems.\nSenior Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:\nProvide Systems Engineering support for the evaluation of new concepts and designs for SLBM groups at NSWC Dahlgren supporting Strategic Systems Programs.\nProvide installation and training support for the SLCM-N Program.\nPerform analysis and review activities related to new designs and implementations of the Fire Control System for SLCM-N.\nSupport the development of new concepts and technologies and research potential new Fleet capabilities.\nCoordinate and work closely with other engineering and management disciplines to support design, training, and installation milestones.\nDevelop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and design artifacts.\nProvide direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels, delivering systems engineering support.\nVerify and comply with engineering documentation standards related to SLCM-N development.\nSupport the identification, analysis, and resolution of complex systems engineering issues involving platform, weapon, combat, Command and Control (C2), and fire control systems.\nPerform other position-related duties as assigned or requested.\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, OR 10 years of demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise.\n Ten (10) years of professional systems engineering experience with a DoD major strategic platform, weapon, combat, Command and Control (C2), and/or fire control systems program.\n Five (5) years of concurrent experience as a team leader, performing systems engineering and mission engineering efforts that include developing requirements and top-level designs and/or system architectures for software-intensive systems.\nExperience identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex systems engineering issues involving platform, weapon, combat, C2, and fire control systems for Navy/Joint warfighting capabilities.\nMust have an active Secret U.S. Government security clearance. Note: U.S. citizenship is required to maintain a Secret security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) or other SLBM organizations supporting Fire Control System development.\nTop Secret clearance.\nCompensation Details:\nUS: $150,000 - $170,000The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
