In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.\nIn support of DISA, the Intel and Cyber Division is assembling a team to support a program that provides critical IT capabilities to the Department of Defense. To be successful, you must be able to rapidly adapt and learn how to operate the front and back end of new products and processes.\nWork Schedule: 8 Hours per day, Monday through Friday\nEssential Responsibilities:\nThe duties and responsibilities of the Senior Systems Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:\nAssess and identify appropriate solutions based on system requirements\nContribute to system design, development, and engineering tasks\nManage and track workload during Agile sprints using JIRA and Confluence tools\nProduce system architecture design documentation and contribute to integration planning\nDeploy enterprise-level virtual environment software and management suites (VMware ESXi and Nutanix AHV hypervisors)\nAssist with the design and implementation of system configurations with an overall goal of highly adaptable, scalable, and resilient services in a global system deployment\nInstall, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools\nDeliver and integrate new technical solutions and provide advice and recommendations to government customers\nPerform system and software updates to enhance performance\nDevelop and implement solutions across a wide range of technologies\nImplement and maintain Government standards for system security\nLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:\nEmployee will work in a SCIF on a daily basis.\nEmployee may also work in a datacenter environment for specified periods of time.\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nExperience with Windows Server 2022-2025, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and WSUS\nExperience with PKI including managing Certificate Authorities and issuing certificates\nExperience with Infoblox DNS and DHCP configuration and environments\nExperience deploying and configuring Nutanix AHV, AOS, and Prism\nExperience installing, configuring, and managing VMware ESXi, vCenter, VCP 7.X. & 8.X\nExperience implementing and managing Cisco UCS Computing Servers, Hyperflex solutions, and Intersight\nExperience administering, managing, and patching Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers\nExperience working in a DoD classified environment\nDemonstrated experience implementing security requirements associated with DoD enterprise systems\nExperience deploying, configuring, and managing Splunk Enterprise\nExperience deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager\nExperience installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server 2022 and newer\nExperience with backup systems such as Acronis, etc.\nFamiliarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and RMF processes\nExperience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint\nExperience briefing high-level as well as detailed system capabilities and operational concerns and considerations to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nExceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment\nAbility to travel up to 20%.\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nMust have active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility\nMinimum Education:\nBachelor’s Degree in an IT related field, or an additional five (5) years of Systems Engineering experience\nMinimum Years of Experience:\n8 (eight) years of related systems engineering, architecture design, and systems integration experience\nRequired Certifications:\nDoD 8570.01-M IAT-II baseline certification requirements\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBS in Computer Science or Systems Engineering\nFamiliarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and Jira/Confluence tools\nFamiliarity with Intelligence Community systems\nVMware certification VCP 7.x/8.x \nExperience with Infoblox\nExperience with Commvault 11.x \nExperience with Red Hat Satellite or Ansible\nExperience with Trellix Endpoint Security, ePO, and Agent Handlers\nExperience with RSA SecurID\nExperience with ACAS (Tenable Security Center, Nessus Scanners, and Nessus agents)\nFamiliarity with ITILv4\nExperience with PostgreSQL\nExperience with Microsoft Exchange 2016 or newer\nExperience developing IT checklists, SOPs, guides, etc.\nExperience with Rubrik\nExperience with Infoblox DNS and DHCP configuration and environments\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
