To be successful, you must be able to rapidly adapt and learn how to operate the front and back end of new products and processes.\nWork Schedule: 5 Days (Mon - Fri); 8 hrs/Day; 40 hrs/wkly\nEssential Responsibilities:\nThe duties and responsibilities of the SeniorServiceNow Engineer include, but are not limited to the following:\nDesign, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, and integrations in support of enterprise ITSM and ITOM capabilities.\nAdminister and sustain the on-premises/self-hosted ServiceNow instance, ensuring performance, compliance, and availability.\nImplement and enhance core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Service Portal/Employee Center.\nDevelop custom applications, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Workflow Studio logic aligned with business requirements.\nManage data imports, transformations, and integrations via REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, and other data exchange mechanisms.\nApply CSDM principles to maintain accurate service mapping and CMDB data relationships.\nPartner with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to DoD security and accreditation requirements.\nSupport patching, upgrades, and release deployments while ensuring backwards compatibility and minimal service disruption.\nParticipate in Agile sprint cycles, backlog grooming, and technical design sessions.\nConduct impact analyses, architectural reviews, and document new functionality or integrations.\nContinuously research emerging ServiceNow features, plugins, and best practices to improve platform maturity.\nTroubleshoot, resolve, and document complex technical issues; provide Tier 3 escalation support.\nCollaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align ServiceNow capabilities with organizational objectives.\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nMust have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI\n5 years of relevant experience in software design, development, or enterprise platform engineering\n3+ years of ServiceNow platform administration and maintenance (on-prem or hosted), and ServiceNow development experience (Glide scripting, Workflow Studio, UI customization, integrations)\nProficiency with Web technologies such as JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, Jelly, and CSS\nExperience with LDAP, SSO, and Web Service integrations (REST/SOAP APIs)\nStrong understanding of ITIL practices and ServiceNow governance principles\nDemonstrated ability to perform both operational sustainment and full-stack development within the ServiceNow ecosystem\nMust be able to work a 40-hour work week, normally Monday through Friday.\nAbility to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last-minute requests for overtime if needed. \nAbility to travel (5-10%) primarily within 75 miles.\nFamiliarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project, and Visio. \nExceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong critical thinking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. \nSecurity Clearance Required:\nMust have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI\nMinimum Education:\nHigh School Diploma\nMinimum Years of Experience:\n5 years of relevant experience\nRequired Certifications:\nMust possess or be able to obtain a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Certification and a one of the following 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certifications before start date:\nLevel II certs include - CCNA Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE\nLevel III certs include - CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate degree in IT related field (or better)\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) Certification\nSerciceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, ITOM, or SPM\nBackground working within DoD or government IT service management environments\nITIL 4 Foundation/Master\n#javelin #jointhepack #servicenow #itil #itsm #itom\nThis position is notdesignated as a safety sensitive position.\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
