The Supervisor Base Communications Office will be responsible for overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and reliability of the Base Telecommunications Distribution System and associated communications infrastructure. This position provides technical leadership, supervises communications personnel, ensures compliance with industry standards, and maintains mission critical telecommunications systems supporting base operations.\nJob Responsibilities:\nLead the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Base Telecommunications Distribution System and all components.\nMaintain and support telephone switching systems, switchboards, inside plant infrastructure, station equipment, customer premise cabling, and outside plant fiber optic/copper cable systems.\nEnsure proper delivery, configuration, and operation of telecommunications systems supporting base communications infrastructure.\nMonitor system performance and functionality to ensure operational readiness and reliability.\nSupervise, train, and mentor personnel assigned to communications system operations and maintenance.\nAssign work priorities and monitor performance to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks.\nPromote compliance with safety procedures, technical standards, and organizational policies.\nVerify proper installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation of telecommunications components.\nCoordinate and document scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and service calls.\nOversee the lifecycle management of communications infrastructure, including repairs, upgrades, replacements, and testing.\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues while minimizing system downtime.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.\nMinimum RequirementsRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nRelevant technical education or military communications training preferred.\nCertifications:BICSI Registered Technician certification\nIndustry recognized manufacturer certifications\nTelecommunication Certifications\nAT&T, Cisco, or other certifications\n\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. \nMust read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce\nA valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
