Plans, coordinates, and supervises routine maintenance activities, special projects, and distributes workload to achieve productivity and quality objectives. Interfaces with the client to ensure customer satisfaction.\nIn addition, this position is responsible for all basic management responsibilities including, but not limited to staffing and development, evaluation and recognition, leadership, and employee relations. Coordinates and monitors the purchase and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Ensures the safety and well-being of its employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and generally represents Amentum in the field with respect to the client.\n\nResponsibilities:\nSafety & Compliance\nProvides leadership ensuring an accident-free workplace.\nEnsures safety of employees and tenants of the facilities.\nIs knowledgeable of site safe work requirements and ensures work is performed in accordance with safety procedures.\nManages Site Compliance Calendar to ensure 100% compliance across areas of responsibility.\nWork with EHS team.\nConduct 5 Whys (RCA) when needed.\n\nPeople & Communication\nCreates inclusive, high-performance work environment.\nMaintains consistent communication with management on key issues, potential client issues, and determined approach to resolutions.\nEstablish and maintain effective two-way communications. Understand the needs and concerns of employees. Convey employee attitudes and expectations to higher management. Properly manage employee personal information.\nMaintains consistent communication with higher management on variety of personnel actions (e.g., employment, performance, disciplinary issues, scheduling and/or approving overtime).\nIdentify and maintain accountability for company assets within assigned area and ensure employees understand their obligation to protect company assets.\nDemonstrates leadership by example and display integrity and candor in all actions.\nMaintains sense of urgency regarding customer response and addressing issues.\nWill perform/assist in annual employee assessments and performance reviews.\n\nOperational Excellence\nResponsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational teams supporting Facilities and Production Maintenance.\nResponsible for training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, and meeting completion dates.\nInterprets and ensures consistent application of organizational polices.\nReviews work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc.).\nWorks with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by manager or work schedule.\nEnsures accurate employee time accounting in Maximo and Deltek systems.\nPerform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.\n\nHigh School graduate or demonstrated equivalent. \nThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.\nTen years of progressively responsible industrial facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.\nMust have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.\nValid Driver’s License.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a security access badge at our client’s location.\nMust be able to work various shifts, alternative work schedules, weekends holidays and overtime when required. \nMust pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.\nPhysical Requirements:\nRequires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.\nRegularly lift up to 50 lbs.\nRegularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.\nFlexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, move in a 90-degree fashion, and stretch repetitively throughout shift.\nSome tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.\nSome tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.\nAbility to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.\nAbility to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents including a demonstrated fluency in computer use and Microsoft product line.\nAbility to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.\nAbility to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.\nRequires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.\nRequires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area.\nSpecial Requirements:\nWear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.\nMust obtain STS certification within (12) months of hire date.\nAssociate degree, industrial mechanical, industrial electrical, or related skilled trade or relevant experience.\nExperience managing a multi-skilled workforce to deliver positive results.\nExperience utilizing a CMMS, preferably Maximo.\nExperience in creating metrics and data mining for driving performance results.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with emphasis on the ability to navigate and formulate within Excel and Access.\nWorking knowledge of hand and power tools.\nGeneral working knowledge of all production related equipment & systems in a manufacturing type facility.\nBasic electrical knowledge, sufficient to change motors, fuses, etc.\nBasic pneumatic and hydraulic systems knowledge.\nBasic conveyor repair and maintenance knowledge, including replacement of rollers, motors and mechanical equipment.\nCompensation Details:\n$38.00 -$45.00The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
