This includes, but is not limited to inventory issues, returns, transfers, and all other inventory related changes\n\nPhysically receives, stores and documents materials in support of all department operations including forklift support asrequired.Researchstock information todeterminelocations and stock levels using the ERP database.\n\nConducts physical inventories andmaintainsinventory stock.\n\nEstablishes and enhances strong working relationships with customersand coworkers.\n\nAccurately documents incoming, outgoing material and helps prepare outbound shipments.\n\nExamines items received; notes wrongs, overages, shortages, or any damages incurred in shipping. Researches and provides WODS (wrong, overage,damagedor short) reporting on any discrepancies for materials physically received.\n\nResponsible for general housekeeping andmaintainswarehouse and Outside Storage Area (OSA) in an organized and clean manner.\n\nCross trains with other departments within Transportation and Logistics which may include operation of heavy equipment and over-sized tundra vehicle operation.\n\nTrains in vessel offload procedures and processes. May be assigned any role and work any shift in a 24-hour period during vessel offload or during other special operations while deployed.\n\nCompletes annual light vehicle, forklift and inventory management system training classes when deployed.\n\nAssistswith runway operations during seasonal transition and ongoing winter flights.\n\nOther duties as assigned by Supply department management; outdoor work will berequiredin varying temperatures.\n\nRequired Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:\nHigh School diploma orGED\n\nMinimumzero to sixmonths ofexperience working in any of the following fields: Inventory materials management, purchasing, warehousing, cargo, transportation, or supply chainlogisticsincluding the use of forklifts, handtrucksand other powered and non-powered lifting devices.\n\nExpected Skills and Competencies:\nAbility to work in a team environment.\n\nExperienceworking withinMicrosoft Office Suite (primarily Excel,Wordand PowerPoint)\n\nStrongmulti-tasking, organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills.\n\nHigh attention to detail and professionalism.\n\nCreative Thinking:Demonstratesoriginality and imagination in thinking while developing a solution to a problem.\n\nSelf-motivatedand high accountability;ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.\n\nBusiness Communication: Strong ability to communicate clearly and efficiently. Writes, speaks, and presents clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and adjusts communication style to the audience.\n\nPreferred:\nFamiliarity and capability to identify commodities in a specific functional or trades group area: Medical/Dental; Construction/Residential Repair; Automotive/Heavy & Industrial Equipment; Science/Lab Support; Food/Beverage/Retail; Office/Hotel/Janitorial Supplies; Electrical/Plumbing/Utilities/Carpentry/Fire Safety; Information Technology/Communications Supplies.\n\nWorking knowledge of materials movement,purchasing, inventory, and hazardous materials.\n\nIntermediateskills in Microsoft Office including Excel,PowerPointand Outlook.\n\nIBM Maximo experience.\n\nExperience with remote sitelogisticsis highly desirable. Experience with polarlogisticsoperations is preferred.\n\nPhysical and/or Other Requirements:\nWillingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods\n\nSuccessful completion of Medical and Dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica\n\nSuccessful completion of drug screening and background check required by employer\n\nSuccessful completion of Federal Background Check required by the NSF\n\nMust be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum as required by the position.\n\nMust be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme cold as required by the position.\n\nMustparticipatein community programs, such as “house-mouse” (chores), “daisy-picking” (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts & safetyobjectives.\n\nValid Driver’s License issued in the United States\n\nNo clearance requirement but the contract and/or the site requires US Citizenship to be approved for access. (includes NACI / T1, MRPT, CAC): Must be able to obtain andmaintainfacility credentials/authorization.
