This role involves comprehensive system administration, applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) controls, and serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues on both classified and unclassified networks.\nResponsibilities\nAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments across classified and unclassified Navy networks.\nManage and configure Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).\nEnsure system compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)s and DoW cybersecurity policies, executing remediation tasks as needed.\nExecute patch management processes and deploy updates across Microsoft systems utilizing automated tools (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager MECM).\nPerform system hardening and vulnerability remediation leveraging tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Endpoint Security Solution (ESS), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).\nUtilize and modify PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks.\nManage and support virtualization platforms, primarily VMware and Hyper-V.\nAssist cybersecurity teams in generating and maintaining documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO) packages and Plan of Action and Milestones. (POAM).\nServe as an escalation point for junior IT staff, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support.\nParticipate in Change Control Boards (CCBs) to review and implement system changes.\nSupport backup, disaster recovery, and incident response efforts.\nGeneral office environment with site visits as well as periodic \"at sea\" duty to support the PMRF's Mobile at Sea Sensor system (MATSS)\nCandidate must be capable of working in a team environment and participate in technical and system administrative activities throughout project life cycles.\nPhysical Elements/ Environment\nLifting, Pushing/Pulling: over 50lbs\nWork positions requirements: walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, cramped, sitting and work requiring repeated stooping or frequent climbing.\nEnvironment: customer contact, extended workday, confined work area, office laboratory, field assignment, and inclement weather.\nMinimum Qualifications\nExperience\n Two (2) years of specialized Window system administration required.\nKnowledge of IT systems and advance IT infrastructure concepts\nMust be proficient in operating personal computers, computer software and standard office equipment\nMust have basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting\nCritical thinking - Proven problem solver\nProficiency in automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)\nVMware/Nutanix certification\nKnowledge/Administration of Trellix, LogRhythm, and MDE\nExperience with MECM/SCCM\nExperience with DoW systems and infrastructure\nKnowledge in Cyber Security Methods and Techniques\nEducation\n Associate's Degree\nHigh School Diploma with four (4) years of directly related Window system administration experience may be substituted for an A.S. degree. \nCertifications (subject to change based on industry, DoW, or local policy requirements)\nDoW, or local policy requirements\nDOD 8570.1M IAT Level II required prior to start\nOne of the following OS Certifications required prior to start:\nAzure Administrator Associate (Exam AZ-104)\nWindows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Exam AZ-800 and AZ-801)\nPreferred Qualifications\nAdvance knowledge and certification in both Windows Server and RHEL is considered highly desired\nSecurity Clearance\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
