The applicant will be part of an Infrastructure Team supporting enabling the delivery of a dynamic course curriculum. The Windows Systems Administrator will be involved in the design, ongoing maturation and sustainment of an environment utilizing Windows Servers and Desktops. The Windows Systems Administrator will be involved in the testing, preparation and deployment of Active Directory GPO’s and RBAC as well as automated server and workstation imaging and patching utilizing Windows MCM\nIf you are a Windows Systems Administrator, or a Systems Administrator with extensive Windows experience; a team player, and a self-starter, then this is the position for you.\nWork Schedule:\nMonday through Friday during normal business hours though some after-hours, weekend work may be required.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nCreate, deploy and maintain Windows server and desktop and operating systems including Active Directory Domain Controllers.\nCreate, deploy and maintain the MCM suite of applications\nCreate, maintain and deploy workstation and thin client images through PXE boot, MCM and/or other image management platforms.\nCreate, modify, disable and troubleshoot Active Directory user accounts, groups, objects and GPO’s.\nCreate, deploy and maintain strategies for software rollouts and/or updates to Windows operating systems.\nMaintain Windows operating systems for SSP and STIG compliance.\nProvide supporting documentation and artifacts to ISSO and management to satisfy security requirements.\nMaintain system documentation, develop infrastructure support procedures, and provide security support.\nWork Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:\nGeneral Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nExperience deploying and managing Windows desktop and server operating systems in bare metal and virtual environments.\nExperience creating, maintaining and deploying workstation and desktop images through PXE boot, MCM or other image management platforms.\nExperience managing and configuring Active Directory user accounts, groups, objects and GPO’s.\nExperience creating, modifying, disabling and troubleshooting Active Directory user accounts, groups, objects and GPO’s.\nBasic knowledge of packet flow analysis, TCP/IP, and basic network services\nExperience with TCP/IP networking, networking architecture, computer and operating systems.\nExperience with network security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nTop Secret SCI w/FS Polygraph\nMinimum Education:\nAssociates Degree or higher in a Computer Science oriented field and/or\nMinimum Years of Experience:\nTwo (2) years of networking-related experience.\nRequired Certifications:\nCompTIA Security + CE required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience troubleshooting and maintaining MS SQL\nIn depth knowledge of Microsoft Certificate Authorities and managing templates\nProficient in PowerShell to accomplish complex taskings\nExperience in troubleshooting interoperability in a hybrid Windows/Linux environment\nExperience deploying hardened Windows Servers for production use\nExperience with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.)\nExperience with monitoring solutions (Nagios, Whats Up Gold, etc.)\nExperience with VMWare to include building and configuring Windows and/or Linux virtual machines.\nExperience with hardening systems and reading/implementing STIG guidance.\nWorking knowledge of information technology security principles, common threats, and vulnerabilities.\nAbility to work independently while being conscious of how your work interacts with that of others.\nPossess drive, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.\nAbility to work flex and overtime hours with some weekend hours expected.\nAbility to solve problems quickly and completely; analytical problem-solving skills; adept at root-cause analysis and mitigation.\nEffective communication, writing, documentation, and requirements gatherings skills are needed to be effective in this role for working with other members of the Team and with the Customer to meet the requirements of the program.\nOther Responsibilities:\nSafety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
