This includes serving as an escalation point for user-reported problems (Tier 1 and 2).\nSystem Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, resource utilization, and network traffic to identify and address potential issues. Perform routine preventative maintenance, backups, and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.\nWorks with the Cybersecurity team to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) directives. This includes applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), managing vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and ensuring systems maintain their Authority to Operate (ATO) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).\nWrite procedures and/or reports, as applicable, to support existing or new processes, or as required to summarize data collected during engineering level testing.\nPerform other tasks as assigned\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, training, and seven years of progressively responsible systems administration experience.\n3+ years’ work experience in Information Technology.\nA current DoD 8140 IAT Level II (or higher) certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, etc).\nStrong experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems. Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g. HP, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cornet, NetAcquire) and enterprise services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).\nExperience with managing and maintaining virtual server platforms.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office products.\nAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.\nAbility to quickly identify and solve technical problems.\nAbility to lift 50lbs.\nAbility to support occasional travel.\nThe flexibility to work non-duty hours and weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.\nMust possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.\nValid U.S. Driver’s License\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications:\nOther certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or specific Linux/VMware credentials.\nExperience with or knowledge of serial data communications, fiber optics, multiplexing, data switching, digital voice systems and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) technologies.\nExperience with various types of test equipment including but not limited to cable testers, tone generators and probes, network analyzers, signal verifiers and multifunctional network test devices.\nKnowledge of or experienced in Western Range operations at Vandenberg Space Force Base\nSalary and Other Compensation\nThe annual starting salary for this position is between $90,000 - $95,000 annually.
