To learn more, clickhere\nPrimary Activities Involved with this Position\nTest and Analysis Leadership\nBecome a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a library of flight avionics requirements and their application to both test execution and post-test data analysis. Develop in-depth knowledge of Space Launch System (SLS) avionics, system behavior, and verification methodologies.\nDesign and execute both test plans/procedures and data analysis plans supporting verification of integrated avionics systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environments.\nEvaluate test results and analysis products to verify compliance with requirements, investigate anomalies, and assess system performance.\nParticipate in the development of requirements, verification strategies, and Detailed Verification Objectives (DVOs), ensuring test and analysis approaches align with technical intent.\nCorrelate test findings with analytical assessments to validate system capabilities, behaviors, and performance against established requirements.\nDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve a library of flight avionics test procedures, analysis procedures, and verification methodologies.\nServe as an owner of the test and analysis process, proactively engaging with cross-functional organizations to resolve technical issues and improve verification effectiveness.\nCommunicate clear, concise, and actionable insights regarding integrated system performance, test outcomes, analytical findings, and verification status.\nCollaborate with Systems Engineering, Software Development, Test, and Electrical Integration teams to ensure testing and analysis activities collectively satisfy requirements and verification objectives.\nTechnical Execution\nDesign, execute, troubleshoot, and debug system-level test procedures and verification activities.\nDevelop test automation, analysis tools, and verification software using languages such as Python, XML, or C.\nWork effectively within Linux-based development and test environments, including use of command-line utilities and editing tools.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline required.\nDegree from an ABET-accredited university preferred.\nTypically requires a BS with 5-15 years of relevant experience, or an MS with 3-13 years of relevant experience.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and possess a STAR ID.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with NASA flight avionics testing, verification, and data analysis.\nExperience developing and executing both system test plans and data analysis plans.\nExperience performing detailed requirements verification through test execution, post-test analysis, and DVO assessment.\nExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) laboratories and simulation environments.\nExperience developing automated test cases, verification scripts, or analysis tools using Python, XML, or C.\nExperience authoring technical documentation, including test plans, analysis plans, verification reports, and data analysis reports.\nExperience supporting hands-on system integration, troubleshooting, and laboratory operations using diagnostic hardware and software tools.\nExperience with DOORS and/or DOORS Next Generation (DNG).\nExposure to Engineering Test Management (ETM) environment.\nExperience using Atlassian Jira and related configuration management environments.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering team environment.\nEssential Functions\nProof of U.S. Citizenship is required.\nWork Environment:\nOffice environment.
