A muddled assessment gets ignored; a mismarked one causes real damage. As a Technical Editor supporting DIA, you'll be the last line of quality for intelligence products, sharpening logic and clarity, enforcing agency style and classification standards, and working shoulder to shoulder with analysts to make their strongest possible case on the page. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.\n Work Schedule: (shift hours and days of the week)\n5 days, 8 hours/day M-F\nEssential Responsibilities:\nReview intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, and, more importantly, for logic, clarity, and consistency\nEnsure style and format conform to agency publication standards, prescribed style guides, and the specialized vocabulary of the subject matter\nAmend draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics so visual content supports and stays consistent with the accompanying text\nEnsure proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance on every product\nWork directly with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiate further revisions as needed\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nActive TS/SCI clearance\n8+ years of relevant editing experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years\nBachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field\nCommand of IC and DoD classification marking guidance\nThe diplomacy to tell an analyst their draft needs work, and the skill to help them fix it\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nMinimum Education:\nBachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field\nMinimum Years of Experience:\n8+ years of relevant editing experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years\nPreferred Qualifications: AI if applicable to your program\nPrior DIA or IC editorial experience\nFamiliarity with DIA style and finished intelligence production\nExperience editing graphics-heavy or data-rich products\nThis position is designated as a safety sensitive position.\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
