A muddled assessment gets ignored; a mismarked one causes real damage. As a Technical Editor supporting DIA, you'll be the last line of quality for intelligence products, sharpening logic and clarity, enforcing agency style and classification standards, and working shoulder to shoulder with analysts to make their strongest possible case on the page. At the senior level, you'll do this work at its highest degree of difficulty, and you'll multiply your impact by leading and mentoring the team around you. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.\nWork Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours/day M-F\nEssential Responsibilities:\nServe as senior editorial authority for the supported production element, setting the quality bar for the whole editing team\nHandle the highest-visibility and most sensitive products, where classification precision and narrative clarity carry the most weight\nMentor mid-level editors and build style resources, checklists, and training that raise the team's baseline\nAdvise analytic leadership on production standards and recurring quality issues\nNegotiate revisions with senior authors while preserving analytic voice and meeting tradecraft standards\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\nActive TS/SCI clearance\n12+ years of relevant editing experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years\nMaster's degree desired in a related field\nDemonstrated leadership of editorial teams or functions\nDeep familiarity with IC publication standards and finished intelligence formats\nSecurity Clearance Required:\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nMinimum Education:\nMaster's degree desired in a related field\nMinimum Years of Experience:\n12+ years of relevant editing experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEven Better If You Have\nDIA or Defense Intelligence Enterprise experience\nProgram transition support experience\nExperience establishing editorial standards or style guides\nThis position is notdesignated as a safety sensitive position.\nAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
