The Trades Person also provides support to trades and other personnel, as well as undertaking duties and tasks required.\nThis role may also involve occasional after-hours callouts.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsibilities/Duties\nPerform a wide range of tasks to support the organization in its undertaking of the Vesta contract requirements which include but is not limited to carpentry repairs and maintenance, tiling, small renovation projects, reticulation repairs, patch & paint walls, conduct landscaping works, construct fences and fencing repairs, operate machinery and perform paving and concrete works.\nSupport of other trades and other personnel and assist in other areas of facilities and maintenance, as required.\nUndertake regular inspections and tasks within the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and certifications.\nUndertake all work in a safe and professional manner ensuring safety is an integral part of everyday activities.\nReport any incidents to management as a priority.\nUse of computer systems to record and plan work tasks.\nWork as part of a team.\nWork to ensure that safety is an integral part of everyday activities.\nOther duties as directed by the Vesta management team.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum Essential\nAbility to understand written instructions and create basic written reports.\nAbility to work within a team environment.\nAbility to work professionally with minimal supervision.\nGood interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.\nWell-developed oral and written communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete assigned tasks.\nDemonstrated ability to identify and analyze issues and develop solutions to problems.\nDesirable\nTraining in appropriate safety procedures\nConfined space entry\nWorking at heights\nElectrical safety\nPersonal protective equipment\nLockout/tagout\nWorking in trenches\nPrevious experience within carpentry, electrical or plumbing trades would be highly regarded\nTICKETS AND LICENCES\nMinimum Essentia l\nTrade certificate - Carpentry or Joinery/Cabinetry\nCurrent Drivers Licence\nDesirable\nNT Work safe High-Risk Work - Boom type Elevated Work Platform licence.\nEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS - Minimum Essential\nMinimum Essential\nA minimum of 2 years’ experience in a variety of maintenance tasks.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS\nAlice Springs climate ranges from cold winters to hot summers. Trades Person activities include outdoor works in varying conditions.\nTasks include digging, trenching, landscaping, fencing and reticulation works in these conditions.\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT\nIt is a condition of employment at JDFPG that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
