The Transportation Program Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the planning, execution, scheduling, and routing of all freight shipments via land, sea, and air transportation resources.\nJob Responsibilities:\nManage the Transportation, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Movement Control, Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group, Container Management, and Motor Pool Operations\nWork closely with project and construction management staff to develop plans, policies, and procedures for project transportation support\nEnsure transportation sections comply with contract requirements\nFacilitate effective communications throughout transportation organization\nCross level assets (using on-hand personnel and assets, ensure sufficient capabilities are in place) to cover surge and demobilization requirements\nAs available, develop or train personnel on all aspects of logistics\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum eight (8) years of experience in military transportation center/facilities with at least two (2) years in an OCONUS/ combat zone management role in transportation, freight forwarding, and/or supply chain management.\nMinimum three (3) years of experience as Director or Manager in charge of operations.\nWell versed in the Operational, Maintenance, and Administration areas/functions position of an industrial/commercial transportation program.\nProven technical experience in interpretation and use of military transportation automated systems, civilian transportation management, and cargo tracking systems.\nProficient in Microsoft Office software.\nProven technical experience in interpretation and use of military transportation automated systems, civilian transportation management, and cargo tracking systems.\nMust be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.\nPassport should be valid for at least one (1) year at the time of hire.\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.\nAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.\nValid country driver's license.\nEmployees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEvaluation experience in site capability and limitation for depots, truck terminals, air terminals, water ports/terminals, and road networks.\nSkill in organizing and supervising movement, deployment, and redeployment of personnel and equipment in a military and joint environment with civilians.\nPrevious work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.\nExcellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.\nBachelor’s degree in logistics, management, or associated discipline; may substitute two (2) additional years of experience in related field for each year of college.\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nSafety: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
