We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities.\nOur benefits include:\nMedical coverage on date of hire\n\n100% employer paid cash balance pension plan\n\n401(k) with company match fully vested on date of hire\n\nMinimum of 15 days paid vacation and 12 paid holidays\n\nPaid parental leave and family caregiver leave\n\nVisit our Benefits and Perks Page for more information on benefits provided to regular full-time employees.\nAbout The Position\nThe Engineer provides technical support to substation maintenance personnel on maintenance problems.\nKey responsibilities include:\nRespond to substation outages to assist restoration as necessary.\nCoordinate testing program to assure necessary PM tasks are completed as required by internal and external requirements.\nProvide support to substation maintenance personnel for commissioning and checkout of new substation equipment.\nPrepare minor design changes as needed to restore equipment to service.\nPrepare failure reports on substation equipment.\nAnalyze equipment condition, health, and performance information to identify asset issues, trends, and opportunities to improve maintenance and reliability strategies.\nSupport the integration of monitoring-device data into asset performance management tools so that equipment condition information can be effectively analyzed and used by the department.\nQualifications\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Professional Engineer License or active commitment to obtain one preferred. Two or more years of utility experience with specific knowledge of substation equipment such as transformers, switchgear and breakers preferred.\nIn addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:\nGood analytical, decision-making, communication, and human relations skills. Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Access and Excel preferred.\nAdditional Information\nAmeren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.\nCompensation Range:\n$72,600.00 - $176,100.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials.\nAt Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered.
