We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities.\nOur benefits include:\nMedical coverage on date of hire\n\n100% employer paid cash balance pension plan\n\n401(k) with company match fully vested on date of hire\n\nMinimum of 15 days paid vacation and 12 paid holidays\n\nPaid parental leave and family caregiver leave\n\nVisit our Benefits and Perks Page for more information on benefits provided to regular full-time employees.\nKey responsibilities include\nDirect, review, and perform studies to develop long-range electric subtransmission system plans.\nOversee initiation of capital projects in collaboration with Transmission & Distribution Design, Distribution Control and Region Engineering with solid project rationalization/justification.\nDirect and review generation interconnection studies, DER analysis, customer load addition evaluations, and subtransmission system analyses.\nCollaborate with planning groups in Ameren MO, Transmission and Ameren IL on common practices and modeling tools.\nWork with Planning groups, GIS and Digital to ensure GIS information supports modeling tools.\nProvide operating personnel with technical support and recommendations on system issues including the impact of planned and unplanned facility outages, voltage problems, and other items as requested.\nSupport initiatives to achieve target levels of electric service reliability and meet reporting requirements.\nProvide technical support to Regulatory and Legal groups, including delivery tariff support, wholesale rate cases, and future Multi-Year Integrated Grid Plans.\nReview updates of planning criteria.\nPursue planning tool and process improvements and training and development of the planning team members.\nContribute to the development and achievement of Integrated System Planning Department goals.\nParticipate in the restoration of electric service during major storm response efforts by serving in a support role.\nParticipate in research activities as needed.\nSupport implementation of SB2408 for planning related activities.\nQualifications\nBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical with an emphasis in power, from an accredited college or university required. Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, Professional Engineer License (PE) preferred. Five or more years of relevant engineering experience required. Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.\nIn addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:\nAbility to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines required. Must possess good organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Must have demonstrated leadership behaviors with the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly across multiple organizations, solve problems decisively, and be proactive and self-motivated to identify improvement opportunities, establish priorities and meet deadlines. After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status in order to be eligible for additional selection procedures (e.g., interview) designated for this position.\nCompensation Range:\n$131,900.00 - $204,400.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered.
