This role supports the reliable operation and energy efficiency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems serving military housing units in Oahu Hawaii.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance on heat pumps and associated HVAC equipment.\nMaintain accurate digital and written records of maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment conditions.\nAssist senior technicians with major repairs, installations, and system upgrades as needed.\nEnsure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, EPA regulations, and base housing standards.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment, with strong attention to resident safety and property protection.\nProvide courteous and professional customer service to military residents and command staff.\nFollow all safety protocols and procedures, including OSHA guidelines and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or an equivalent is required.\nFormal training from a trade or vocational school.\n1-2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair (residential or light commercial preferred).\nDemonstrate experience working on heat pumps is highly preferred.\nKnowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration theory, and troubleshooting techniques.\nRead and interpret wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.\nAbility to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders.\nWork outdoors in various weather conditions.\nValid driver’s license.\nThe anticipated base salary range for this role is $28.36 up to $45.19 an hour (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.\nActual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location.
