Our comprehensive portfolio is built to address the challenges of today and adapt the future, ensuring long-term sustainability and success for our customers.\nAmeresco has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager Senior Project Managers are expected to operate independently, lead by example, and represent Ameresco professionally on active job sites, with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontract partners. This is a permanent position with Ameresco and plays a key role in our continued growth and success in the region.\nResponsibilities :\nDemonstrate strong working knowledge of OSHA and WISHA construction safety requirements. Maintain OSHA 30 certification at minimum (OSHA 500 preferred or a demonstrated commitment to obtaining it).\nLead and enforce site-specific safety plans, ensuring Ameresco and all subcontractors comply with required safety standards and documentation.\nManage full lifecycle execution of EPC and Design-Build projects, including pre-construction services, construction phase oversight, and support of commissioning activities.\nSupervise construction projects valued at $5M+, including S&C, MEP, ESP, lighting retrofits, central plant upgrades, BAS enhancements, PV and BESS installations, building envelope improvements, and industrial facility renovations.\nMaintain consistent, effective communication with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and inspectors to meet compliance and performance requirements.\nDevelop and manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and ongoing cost control strategies.\nBuild and maintain positive, long-term client relationships that support repeat work and program expansion.\nManage Procore documentation including RFIs, submittals, MDS documentation, daily reports, change orders, safety documentation, AHJ coordination, and closeout records.\nRead, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation across all project disciplines.\nCoordinate general conditions and site requirements, including equipment rentals and site services.\nProduce and distribute accurate daily reports, monitor subcontractor performance, and identify installation deficiencies.\nManage critical path schedules in Microsoft Project, including monthly updates and weekly three-week look-ahead schedules.\nCoordinate permits, inspections, and third-party reviews as required.\nLead stakeholder meetings and generate clear, accurate meeting minutes.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in Project or Construction Management.\nProven history of successfully leading construction projects, including cost control, change management, critical path scheduling, and achieving substantial completion milestones on multi-million-dollar MEP renovations.\nAdditional Qualifications:\nStrong understanding of building systems including HVAC, lighting, controls, renewables, and water conservation technologies.\nProficiency with construction project management systems and scheduling tools.\nValid driver’s license in good standing issued by the employee’s state of residence is required.\nStrong verbal, written, and technical communication skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.\nProfessional certifications such as PMP, CEM, CMVP, or LEED AP are preferred.\nExperience working in public-sector MUSH markets (K-12, higher education, municipal, and federal).\nKnowledge of utility incentive programs and energy financing structures.\nExperience with energy modeling, savings calculations, and measurement and verification protocols (IPMVP preferred).\nThe anticipated base salary range for this role is $121,000 - $194,000 (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.\nActual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location.
