Explore opportunities to make a meaningful impact while growing your career with a company at the forefront of energy innovation.\nPosition Overview:\nAmeresco currently has a new opportunity in Birmingham, Alabama for an experienced Site Safety Manager to oversee daily construction and project operations and ensure a safe, healthy, accident-free work environment. This project is with the Veterans Integration Service Network (VISN) doing building upgrades for Veteran Affairs healthcare facilities over the next 3 years.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare the Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analysis for assigned Business Unit projects.\nEnsure compliance to all Safety Policies and adopted Standards.\nEnsure personal protective equipment meets applicable OSHA/EPA requirements and employees are trained on proper use.\nConduct Safety Audits of assigned project sites ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised.\nSafety training of all personnel assigned to project.\nConduct project safety inspections with follow-up inspections of any open items.\nReview Subcontractor safety qualifications and attend Pre-Construction Meetings.\nCreation and evaluating activity hazard reviews.\nRegulatory compliance with OSHA and Ameresco standards and conducts accident and incident investigations.\nDevelopment and Implementation of Corrective Action Plans.\nWork with project supervision to create safety solutions to safety problems.\nFoster and maintain a positive safety culture for the project personnel.\nMaintain all safety certifications as required by contracts.\nConduct quarterly safety meetings for Project Staff.\nProduce Safety Reports of activities performed.\nMaintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management.\nLead Incident/accident Investigations.\nPerform other duties as required. \n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline OR a minimum of 5 years related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in addition to a high school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum 5 years' experience in commercial, government, or industrial safety management.\nEM-385 Certification.\nCurrent certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and industry.\nAdditional Qualifications:\nExperience developing, implementing, and managing Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).\nAbility to review confidential US security information.\nCurrent First Aid/CPR/AED certification.\nAbility to manage positive and effective interpersonal, functional, organizational relationships with all parties.\nExcellent verbal, written, and computer communication and presentation skills.
