Explore opportunities to make a meaningful impact while growing your career with a company at the forefront of energy innovation.\nJob Title\nTechnical Buyer\nRole Description\nThe Technical Buyer manages Supply Chain activities for goods, services, and subcontracting related to the construction of photovoltaic plants and energy efficiency projects. The role oversees the entire procurement process, from supplier scouting through to expediting.\nThe Technical Buyer ensures compliance with project timelines, budgets, and company quality standards, working closely with Engineering, Project Management, and strategic suppliers to optimize procurement processes.\nResponsibilities and Objectives\nDefine and implement supplier onboarding processes based on technical capabilities and financial strength.\nSupport the preparation and regular update of the Procurement Department Operating Manual.\nManage RFQs, bid comparisons, and purchase orders in compliance with company procedures.\nDraft, with the support of the Legal Department, tailored contracts for the supply of materials and subcontracted services.\nMonitor delivery schedules, technical compliance, and contractual terms and conditions.\nMaintain and regularly update the Vendor List and assess suppliers’ quality performance.\nSupport the Project Team with specific procurement requirements during the project execution phase.\nKey Performance Indicators\nCost savings and optimization of supply and subcontracting contracts.\nOn-time delivery and accuracy of quantities received against purchase orders.\nAlignment of supplier contractual terms with commitments made to customers.\nMonitoring and alignment of costs across tender budgets, operations, and procurement.\nNumber/rate of non-conformities across total supplies.\nNumber of newly qualified suppliers.\nKey Activities\nIssue RFQs and perform comparative analysis of supplier quotations.\nCreate purchase orders in the ERP system.\nLiaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, schedules, and status updates.\nSupport the Procurement Manager in contract management activities.\nPrepare and monitor project cost reporting.\nEducation\nBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration.\nExperience\n4-5 years of experience as a Technical Buyer in the energy sector, ideally within utility-scale photovoltaic projects, plant engineering, and energy efficiency.\nGood knowledge of Utility-Scale and C&I photovoltaic plants.\nGood command of English.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is preferred.\nMinimum Skills\nStrong negotiation skills.\nGood technical knowledge of the photovoltaic sector, including construction activities, critical supplies, key equipment/materials, and market pricing.\nSalary Package\nPermanent employment contract under the Italian Metalworking National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico).\nGross annual salary range: €37,000-€45,000.\nReports To\nProcurement Manager\nAMERESCO challenges the brightest, most talented, and creative individuals in the industry by providing an environment that fosters initiative and achievement.
