Drivers must assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and assist clients with a \"through the door\" service. Applicants must have a flexible work schedule, to accommodate the business need.\nWhat You'll Do\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities\nNEMT Drivers are responsible for pre-inspection checks on all vehicles they are driving. They must make sure all items or any other devices are stored away properly. NEMT Drivers must drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.\nQualifications\nLicense\nValid state driver's license or commercial driver's license required.\nEducation & Training\nHigh school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.\nValid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required.\nDrivers should be familiar with the driving region and the surrounding areas.\nKnowledge and Experience\nExperience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles are a plus.\nMust have a validspecificstate driver's license of posted job location for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years.\nApplicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS.\nExperience working with the elderly population\nPhysical certifications: Non-DOT Physical, Drug, TB, and Breath Alcohol test\nAcceptable background screens, which include but is not limited to criminal check and drug and alcohol screening\nValid Authorization to work in the U.S.\nBilingual in another language in addition to English preferred\nCore Competencies\nSelf-motivated and responsible\nGood communication skills\nPositive attitude\nWilling to go the extra mile\nWorking Conditions\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment.\nMust pass pre-employment screening - background and drug screen which includes alcohol screening\nMay be subjected to multiple drug and alcohol screenings to maintain Driver credentials\nPhysical Requirements\nDriver must be able to pass the physical test:\nLift up to 50 LBS, push up to 150 LBS\nBend from the waist\nPivot from waist\nBe able to move from a standing position to kneeling position back to standing\nThe NEMT Driver must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
