Christopher Stevens Digital Leaders Program, a U.S. Department of State-funded program that connects participants in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa. The program includes four interconnected components that build on one another: short-term virtual exchanges focused on leadership and professional skills development; virtual internships and project-based learning opportunities with U.S. and MENA organizations; in-person Alumni Accelerator workshops centered on themes such as STEM, digital media, entrepreneurship, and peacebuilding; and alumni seed funding to support participant-led community impact projects. The Program Manager will ensure a high-quality online teaching and learning experience across program components by managing educator pipelines, supporting instructional delivery, and coordinating online course implementation in alignment with program objectives.\nWorking closely with senior leadership and the Senior Program Officer, the Program Manager will lead teacher recruitment strategies, oversee facilitator engagement, and manage the operational execution of the online course delivery. Following completion of the course, the Program Manager will lead implementation of four Alumni Accelerators and alumni programming. The position requires strong experience in educator management, online learning environments, curriculum implementation, and international program coordination, as well as the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple stakeholders and time zones. This role will report to the Program Director. This is a Washington, D.C.-based position with a hybrid schedule of office and work-from home days (minimum two in-office days).\nPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES\nLeads recruitment, selection, onboarding, and ongoing support of online teachers, facilitators, and instructional staff across program components;\nDevelops and implements educator recruitment strategies to ensure a qualified facilitator pool;\nManages course implementation logistics, including facilitator assignments, cohort management, and instructional delivery timelines;\nOversees quality assurance of online course delivery, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives, pedagogy standards, and program outcomes;\nCoordinates with curriculum and course development teams to ensure effective integration of content and facilitation practices;\nProvides guidance and ongoing support to teachers and facilitators;\nMonitors course performance, participant engagement, and facilitator effectiveness, using data and feedback to inform continuous improvement;\nSupports troubleshooting and real-time problem-solving during course delivery cycles;\nCollaborates with program staff to ensure alignment across program components;\nMaintains documentation of educator participation, course delivery processes, and program compliance requirements;\nDirectly supervises the Senior Program Officer, Virtual Course Development;\nProvides regular updates to the Program Director on course implementation progress, recruitment pipelines, and operational challenges; \nLeads overall Accelerator implementation and mini-grant coordination, working with designated event leads;\nCoordinates operational support and implementation of four Alumni Accelerators and alumni mini-grant cycles; \nWorks with program staff to aggregate and analyze participant, facilitator, industry, alumni and program activity data to support accurate program reporting; and\nOther duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree, preferably in education, international education, instructional design, curriculum studies, international relations, or a related field;\nMinimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in education programming, teacher recruitment, curriculum implementation, online learning, or international exchange programs;\nExperience managing educators, facilitators, or instructional teams in formal or non-formal learning environments;\nProfessional experience with back-end management of learning management platforms, Zoom and Canvas strongly preferred;\nExperience with online learning platforms, virtual facilitation, or blended learning environments;\nAgility with variety of technology/software tools including learning and data management;\nStrong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex workflows;\nDemonstrated success facilitating virtual meetings/activities;\nExcellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills;\nAbility to effectively juggle multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time;\nHigh level of interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to work effectively with educators, participants, partners, and staff across backgrounds;\nCapacity to work both independently and as part of a team; and\nAbility to take initiative, solve problems, and adapt in a fast-paced international program environment.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMaster’s degree in education, instructional design, international education, or a related field;\nTraining and/or professional experience in virtual learning programs strongly preferred;\nExperience supporting U.S. government-funded or donor-funded international education programs;\nExperience in teacher training, instructional coaching, or facilitator development;\nFamiliarity with virtual exchange or intercultural education programming;\nProfessional experience with Microsoft Office Suite;\nExperience managing large-scale online courses or multi-cohort learning programs; and \nAbility and willingness to travel if needed.\nBENEFITS\nThis position is eligible for healthcare benefits\nWORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nEssential functions are performed in a general office setting or remote work environment with low noise.
