Responsibilities will include supporting sourcing, contracting, and ongoing contract administration activities within these services categories, as well as assisting with issue identification and resolution in coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers. The role may also provide analytical and day to day support to senior/upper-level analysts who own specific services categories, helping with data analysis, strategic sourcing activities, execution of category strategies, and follow through on contract related actions.Job Description\nWhat You'll Do:\nProcures goods and services with a high value or complex requirements. \nAssesses business requirements, and matches procurement plans accordingly.\nExecutes sourcing strategies based on category manager guidance and leading practices. \nAssists Category Managers with category strategy development.\nLeverages market, supplier, and spend analyses to inform category strategies and competitive solicitations (e.g. RFXs).\nCoordinates and leads cross-functional category teams during sourcing events. \nPerforms any required contract administration work related to a sourcing event.\nDevelops negotiating strategy and leads negotiations. \nWrites the summary and details for basic to moderately complex contracts, including pricing, business requirements, performance criteria, terms and conditions, and any risk mitigations.\nEstablishes effective relationships with business partners and suppliers to support category strategies.\nWorks with the Service Center to ensure transactional and customer support services are aligned with category strategies. \nCoordinates with key suppliers and business partners on the delivery of high-value manufactured equipment and materials, including any transportation and storage requirements.\nManages contract compliance and administration for high-value manufactured equipment and materials including economic price adjustments, replacement programs, and credit programs.\nLeverages contract knowledge to mitigate risks and maximize contract value.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field; OR 4 years of relevant work experience.\nExperience: In customer service and/or procurement helpful\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience within construction services\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired\nFamiliarity with Maximo and Cognos preferred\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) desired with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers\nWhat You'll Get:\n In addition to competitive compensation, AEP offers a unique comprehensive benefits package that aims to support and enhance the overall well-being of our employees.\nWhere Putting The Customer First, Powers Everything We Do.\nAt AEP, we’re more than just an energy company- we’re a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative energy solutions.
