Provide assistance on projects that involve planning, preparing reports and recommending courses of action.Job Description\nJob Description Summary\nThe Work Scheduling Intern will support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of distribution line and service work. The intern will gain experience with work management processes, customer work requests, scheduling activities, and coordination across internal teams and external partners to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.\nEssential Job Functions\nAssist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating distribution line and service work.\nSupport the review and coordination of customer work requests and required work prerequisites.\nAssist with coordinating resources, schedules, customer commitments, and changing priorities.\nPartner with engineers, service supervisors, construction teams, customers, contractors, inspectors, forestry, metering, and other stakeholders as appropriate.\nSupport schedule adjustments related to workload, weather, resource availability, and other scheduling conflicts.\nAssist with the coordination of planned customer service outages.\nMaintain scheduling and work information using applicable work management systems and business applications.\nApply analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support scheduling activities.\nCommunicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to team goals.\nPerform assigned work safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nMinimum Requirements\nEducation:\nCurrently pursuing an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Technology, or a related field.\nExperience:\nNo previous utility or distribution experience required.\nOther Requirements\nStrong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to effectively prioritize work and contribute in a team environment.\nExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar business applications is a plus.\nAbility to learn work management, scheduling, and utility-specific systems and processes.\nValid driver's license and travel may be required based on assignment location and business needs.\nMinimum internship duration: 10 weeks.\nCompensation Data\nCompensation Grade:\nCo-Op/Intern-001Compensation Range:\n$ - $The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S - Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
