The incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation and change across these functional areas through advanced analytics, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and strong follow-through.\nThis position reports to the Director, Commercial Credit Risk at Amex Bank of Canada.\n Conduct analyses to understand client behavior; design credit solutions that deliver industry-leading credit results while enabling profitable growth \nMonitor credit metrics and functional KPIs, and track progress against targets \nCollaborate with Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) Centers of Excellence to optimize credit decisions, strengthen credit policies, and enhance risk controls\nMonitor end-to-end processes, and perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure operational excellence \nPartner with Sales, Account Development, Credit Operations, Commercial Rating and Underwriting, Product Management, Marketing, and other Business Unit teams to elevate the market’s credit risk management capabilities\nWork with Risk & Compliance (2nd Line) and Internal Audit (3rd Line) to support and strengthen Amex Bank of Canada governance policies, processes, and committees\n Required Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, data science, operations research, or a related analytical field\nPreferred Master’s degree in an analytical field or prior work experience in risk management, decision science, or data analytics\nStrong programming skills and ability to structure complex analysis leveraging multiple large data sources\nThought leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable strategies\nSelf-motivated, results-driven, and intellectually curious\nStrong project-management skills\nProven ability to build productive relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners to achieve shared goals\nAbility to learn quickly, work independently, and have an ownership-mindset\nClear, effective written and oral communications skills\nThe stated salary range represents the expected compensation for this job requisition.
