The role will involve structured training, collaboration and opportunity to experience the dynamic world of Amex Finance every day.\nBusiness Unit: Finance\nFunction: Controllership\nProcess Area: GFII\nDuration: 9 months\n Ability to influence and communicate with multiple levels and across the team.\n\nSupport the Project manager in new business initiatives requiring technology development with financial accounting, reporting, or control impacts.\n\nAssist in defining end-to-end balancing and controls within financial processes.\n\nSupport Project Managers in creating accounting requirements in consultation with Segment and Market Controllership.\n\nPerform user acceptance testing of finance requirements.\n\nCollaborate with process owners and provide post implementation support.\n\nCreate project documentation including process, system, and accounting flows.\n\nAssist the organization in ensuring compliance to AEMP 16\n\nAssist in process improvement projects.\n\nTake initiative to continually develop and learn new processes and methods; quick to adapt to ongoing changes in the enterprise.\n\nSupport automation of core GFII processes\n\n Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field\n\nStrong understanding of Finance and/or business systems\n\nPreferably has some exposure in defining system development requirements across business and technologies\n\nPreferably has some exposure in defining and validating system development and financial test cases\n\nBasic understanding of project management and system implementation background is preferred\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to create impactful relationships with key stakeholders\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nDemonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously\n\nPro-active and creative approach to solving problems\n\nBeing self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to manage time effectively.\n\nPositive attitude and demonstrated strength as a quick learner\n\nPrevious work experience in various Finance disciplines such as Accounting.\n\nCompliance:\nWe back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
