We’re here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.\nThe duties of the position are focused on development and support of Sabre scripting (Sabre Scribe) and Sabre Red App functions.\nIn this role, you’ll collaborate with internal teams to plan, develop and maintain applications used by Travel Consultants to process PNRs.\nAdditionally, you will provide day-to-day support by answering questions and troubleshooting issues.\nWhat You'll Do\nCreate new and update existing tools (Sabre scripts and Sabre Red apps) as assigned by department management\nConvert legacy Sabre Scribe code into modern Sabre Red apps written in TypeScript, ensuring functional parity and improved performance\nDesign and implement API integrations to enhance Sabre Red App functionality and streamline PNR process workflows\nUse available, pre-approved AI tools to enhance code quality, accelerate development cycles, and improve problem-solving\nResearch and respond to support requests from internal customers (support tickets and change requests)\nCoordinate implementation and testing of new customers while working with applicable stakeholder teams\nThoroughly test and document application functionality to ensure high-quality performance and maintainability\nManage product support for cases including product breakdowns, defects, and troubleshooting\nMaintain a strong understanding of all applicable tools and Travel Consultant workflows\nMonitor and advise management of potential roadblocks and technical challenges\nWhat We're Looking For\n5+ years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in a travel agency or corporate travel management company\n2+ years of experience developing and maintaining GDS scripts or applications: Sabre Scribe and/or Sabre Red apps (TypeScript) experience required\n3+ years of hands-on experience using GDS systems, specificallySabre\n Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript for modern web application development\nExtensive experience with corporate travel operational reservation workflows and procedures\nStrong prioritization, time management, decision-making, and creative problem-solving skills\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills\nFlexibility to work at least half of a scheduled shift to coincide with US business hours (Central time zone)\nPreferred additional qualifications:\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance code quality, accelerate development cycles, and improve problem-solving\nExperience converting or modernizing legacy travel systems\nProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel\nExperience using issue-tracking tools (e.g.,Jira, FreshService, etc.)\nKnowledge of REST APIs and system integrations\nExperience with other GDS platforms (TravelPort, Amadeus)\nLocation\nManila, PhilippinesThe #TeamGBT Experience\nWork and life: Find your happy medium at Amex GBT.\nFlexible benefits are tailored to each country and start the day you do.
