The Infrastructure engineer role will be responsible for the build and support of datacenter network infrastructure using platforms and technologies like Cisco Nexus and Arista switching platforms.\n Participate in current state system analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.\nAssist with creation of technical design/implementation documentation.\nMay work with Lead Engineers in infrastructure design and selection process.\nAssist with configuration and implementation deployments.\nTroubleshoot infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.\nParticipate in test planning and execution.\nMay work with project teams to prepare components for production.\nEscalate, provide feedback and propose changes to infrastructure specifications., various moves/adds/changes, network device installation and configuration.\n4 plus years of experience in building and supporting large scale datacenter networks.\nGood understanding of Datacenter technologies such as VXLAN/EVPN.\nStrong knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, and BGP.\nStrong knowledge of switching technologies like spanning tree, port channels, and MLAG.\nStrong knowledge of protocols like TCP, UDP, and IP.\nExperience with routing and switching platforms like Cisco Nexus 9000, Arista 7280, Arista 7050.\nGood understanding of security infrastructure like Firewalls, IPSEC/SSL VPNs\nMust be willing to learn new technologies while being able to adapt to a fast pace service driven environment.\nEducation Requirement:\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the field of networking.\nEmployment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not
