Manager - Digital Product Management, Acquisition Foundations

We are looking for a strategic and skilled Product Manager to join the Digital Acquisitions organization. This role will be responsible for crafting and executing on the digital strategy of applying for an American Express product. The successful candidate will have experience as a product manager building digital web and native mobile applications in an enterprise environment. This person will be expected to become an expert in the digital application experience and identify opportunities to enhance and modernize the user journeys while reducing duplicative experiences. The ultimate objective is to create a more consistent experience for our users while reducing technical overhead.

A key aspect of this role will be playing an active role in compliance and regulatory initiatives, ensuring our digital experiences meet applicable regulatory requirements and accessibility standards.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading mission-critical initiatives aimed at reducing user friction, increasing automation and approval rates, and modernizing the digital ecosystem
• Defining and evolving the product vision, strategy, and goals for the digital acquisition team
• Improving efficiency, scalability, and time-to-market by optimizing and enhancing platform capabilities
• Building in a scalable, reusable, and accessible way.
• Developing and maintaining outcome-driven product roadmaps that align to enterprise priorities and customer needs
• Owning the end-to-end product discovery process, including forming hypotheses, defining objectives and key results (OKRs), evaluating tradeoffs, and validating solutions
• Building strong partnerships with stakeholders across Design, Engineering, other Product teams, Marketing, Analytics, and Risk
• Monitoring product performance and customer behavior, using data and insights to continuously refine priorities and improve outcomes

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in Product Management (preferred experience in Digital web & native mobile applications)
• Nice to have background in front-end engineering and/or design
• Preferred background working on design systems and/or component libraries
• Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts and hands-on experience with prototyping tools
• Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders and teams
• Enthusiasm and passion for great products and demonstrated customer focus.
• Ability to take a collaborative approach to operate in a matrixed environment.
• Sense of urgency and enthusiasm in developing a best-in-class products
• Proactive - you find a way to solve problems regardless of how unclear they initially appear
