The Enterprise AI Platform organization builds foundational capabilities that enable teams across American Express to develop and scale AI/ML and Generative AI products and experiences securely and responsibly.

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Product Management to own one or more strategic product areas within the Enterprise AI Platform. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this leader will identify high-value customer and developer problems, define product strategy and roadmaps, and partner closely with Engineering and Forward-Deployed Engineering (FDE) to translate customer learnings into scalable platform capabilities. This leader will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and product definition through launch, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement.

This role requires exceptional analytical and product judgment, technical fluency, and customer orientation, with the ability to turn complex and ambiguous problems into simple, scalable products that deliver meaningful outcomes.

• Develop a deep understanding of customer and developer needs through direct discovery, quantitative and qualitative analysis, product data, FDE learnings, and market insights.

• Structure ambiguous problems, form and test hypotheses, and quantify and validate the highest-value opportunities.

• Define product strategy and outcomes, translating recurring customer and FDE needs into reusable platform capabilities while determining what to standardize, scale, or leave use-case specific.
• Own multi-year roadmaps and investment priorities, making evidence-based trade-offs across customer value, developer productivity, technical feasibility, scalability, economics, risk, and business value.
• Lead products from concept through delivery in close partnership with Engineering, making clear product and technology choices while balancing developer experience, speed, reliability, cost, and enterprise requirements.
• Partner with FDE and internal customers to launch and scale products, accelerate adoption, validate value, and identify barriers to broader reuse.
• Define success metrics and value-realization measures, using product data, experimentation, customer evidence, and economic analysis to evaluate outcomes and inform product strategy and investment decisions.
• Influence senior leaders and align Engineering and cross-functional partners around product strategy, priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of product management experiencebuilding enterprise software, platforms, developer products, or AI/ML and Generative AI products, including demonstrated experience taking complex technical products from concept through launch, adoption, and iteration.

• Exceptional analytical and product judgment, with demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, test hypotheses, and translate quantitative and qualitative evidence into product strategy, investment decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI products, platforms, and application architectures, with the technical fluency to partner deeply with Engineering and Data Science.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions across complex, cross-functional organizations.
• Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise AI/ML or Generative AI products and platforms, developer platforms, ML infrastructure, or other highly technical products.
• Experience working with customer-facing engineering or FDE teams to translate implementation learnings into scalable products.
• Experience with enterprise technology governance, security, privacy, or responsible AI.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and external technology solutions.
• Experience defining and measuring platform adoption, developer productivity, product economics, and business outcomes.
