The goal of the team is to build upon a robust platform in support of hosting databases both in the private cloud environment as well as multiple public clouds.

• Own the technical design, development, implementation, and support of on-premises and public cloud database platforms.
• Lead hands-on architecture, design, and engineering of scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available database solutions.
• Analyze complex system architectures to proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement solutions that enable, modernize, and enhance enterprise database platform capabilities.
• Partner with Product Owners and engineering teams to understand requirements, evaluate upcoming features, and ensure effective technical design and implementation.
• Leverage cloud-native and emerging technologies to drive platform modernization, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate existing platform implementations and dependencies and drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Apply a strong understanding of network, compute, and storage topologies to define optimal platform architectures.
• Provide production support on a rotational basis, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring platform stability and availability.
• Promote engineering best practices, automation, and continuous improvement across the database platform lifecycle.

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of database administration experience preferably in PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Mongo and Cassandra
• 4+ years of development experience in programming in Python, Terraform.
• Experienced in system configuration using Ansible
• 5+ years of Linux Administration Experience.
• Hands on experience deploying various Public cloud services related to Network, Security, Compute and Database services
• Experience in coding terraform modules with various providers
• Experience with Container and Orchestration Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift is a plus.
• Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions
• Willingness to learn new technologies and use them to their optimal potential
• Provide Oncall support on rotation basis
