Writes code and performs system/applications testing for the association’s web applications and properties. \nProvides debugging, system testing, and technical support for digital technologies associated with assigned applications. Assists in fulfilling the day-to-day support and maintenance tasks of the American Heart Association’s digital assets.\nProvides analysis and development of databases, including base definition, structures, documentation, operational guidelines, and protection. Estimates development efforts in conjunction with business requests.\nFollows and suggests improvements of web support and operation methodologies with associated standards and procedures for the American Heart Association’s 24 by 7 web environment, at all levels, including application and server levels.\nTransfers web properties from the digital development team into operational status within the framework of the American Heart Association build/deployment schedules and processes. Provides appropriate documentation and artifacts of web products, operational processes, and work status for team metric reports.\nMentor junior team members\nProvides technical expertise and consultation to team members and business partners.\nBuild and deploy applications to Dev, Test, UAT and Production environments\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience\nFive (5) years of relevant experience \nExperience in designing, developing, modifying, and building web applications using Microsoft technologies in the Azure environment (App Services, API Management Service, SQL Databases, etc.)\nMust have a strong grasp of programming languages and frameworks. Hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery, React, Angular, Vue), JSON, XML, and back-end expertise in .NET. \nUnderstanding of overarching web architecture is a must. Should be able to design scalable, robust, and secure system architecture with performance in mind. Must be able to implement API, design data models, and understand design patterns.\nProficient in SQL programming (DDL and DML). Experience in developing complex queries and Stored Procedures, and a good understanding of database concepts (Data Modeling) are a must.\nMust be a problem solver with excellent analytical skills. Should have a methodical approach to solving problems, think critically, and debug efficiently. Solutions-oriented with good problem-solving skills\nShould be familiar with Accessibility guidelines and incorporate them in the code delivered.\nFamiliarity with the CICD/DevOps/Agile development methodologies and automated testing.\nExperience with developing POC based on the business need to demonstrate feasibility and gain approval from the business.\nExperience with translating the requirements into high-level design for cross-technical team acceptance. Once the agreement is reached should be able to translate the requirements into low-level design and implement the solution. Collaborate with fellow developers, designers, and business stakeholders. \nExperience with ticketing systems; troubleshooting web application defects and debugging with in-browser tools.\nAbility to organize, prioritize, and meet project deadlines\nCustomer service-minded with excellent communication skills\nCollaborate with the leads/BAs to understand the scope of work and come up with the level of effort to complete the task.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Source control tools Visual Studio (VSTS)\nProficient in C#, Visual Basic .Net development languages\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe American Heart Association invests in its people.
