This role assists with coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing shipping documentation, and communicating with vendors, carriers, customers, and internal departments to support operational success.\nThe Logistics Assistant serves as a key resource within the Logistics Department by helping ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time, incoming materials are received and processed efficiently, and inventory records remain organized and up to date.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n· Coordinate and process outbound shipments using shipping software and customer shipping portals.\n· Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, certificates, and related paperwork.\n· Schedule freight pickups and deliveries with carriers, customers, and vendors.\n· Track shipments and communicate delivery status updates to internal and external stakeholders.\n· Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, part numbers, and condition against purchase orders and packing slips.\n· Enter and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory data within company systems.\n· Assist with inventory transactions, cycle counts, stock accuracy initiatives, and material organization.\n· Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to support material flow and customer requirements.\n· Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed to support warehouse operations.\n· Investigate and help resolve shipment discrepancies, freight claims, delivery issues, and inventory variances.\n· Maintain organized shipping, receiving, and inventory records in accordance with company procedures.\n· Monitor shipping supply inventory and notify management when replenishment is needed.\n· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and logistics work environment.\n· Utilize downtime to support filing, documentation, inventory organization, process improvements, and other logistics-related tasks.\n· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n3-4 years of shipping, logistics, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations or a related field required. \nProficient computer skills including MS Office and common shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS WorldShip, DHL, etc.) required. \nForklift experience required.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nExperience with customer shipping portals preferred.\nREQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS:\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with others.\nExcellent work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nEmployment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screening, including THC, in accordance with federal guidelines.
