As an AV Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and overseeing the installation of complex integrated audiovisual (AV) systems. Your expertise will contribute to creating seamless and high-quality AV experiences for clients across various industries. This position requires client site visits in the Phoenix, AZ area.\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe AV Design Engineer will collaborate with sales and clients to understand client AV/UC needs, requirements, and project goals\nTranslate client expectations into Bill of Materials and Scope of Work before the sale and drawings after the sale\nDevelop comprehensive AV/UC system designs that encompass various components, including audio, video, lighting, control systems, and network\nConsider factors such as room acoustics, equipment placement, cable routing, and user experience\nCoordinate with other trades (IT, electrical, fire, security, structural and architectural) to seamlessly integrate AV systems into building designs\nModify architectural drawings as needed to incorporate AV elements\nEvaluate and select AV/UC equipment including projectors/screens, dvLED/LCD displays, cameras, microphones, DSP’s, speakers, amplifiers, network switches, and control interfaces\nEnsure compatibility, performance, and reliability\nAttend design and programming meetings to align AV/UC solutions with project requirements\nCollaborate with vendors, programmers, technicians, and project managers to execute successful implementation\nEnsure reliable operation of AV/UC equipment during events or daily use\nDiagnose and resolve technical issues promptly\nAdd callouts on architectural floor and ceiling plans and create elevations, signal flow, rack elevations, power distribution, pinout detail, and plate detail drawings for AV/UC systems\nMaintain accurate records of design decisions, equipment specifications, and installation guidelines\nJob Requirements:\n5 years of commercial AV design experience\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or related field (preferred)\nIndustry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, and CQD are advantageous\nProficiency in AV design software tools including AutoCAD\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\nExperience in analyzing audio/visual hardware solutions for educational venues, corporate spaces, entertainment venues, or other environments\nJob Compensation and Details:\nPay- $90k-140k annual salary with potential bonus at year end\nShift Time and Days- Day Shift, M-F\nBenefits include but not limited to: Health, Vision,
