This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of complex and high-profile transportation projects while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across disciplines. As a Project Engineer, you will perform technical design work, manage project components, and serve as a key liaison between clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate is self-driven, has a strong background in bridge design and inspection, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with at 4+ years of related experience.\nResponsibilities\nPerform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design for structural elements of transportation and roadway projects.\nDevelop and oversee bridge, retaining wall, and other structural design.\nLead or support the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.\nLead or support bridge condition inspections throughout Ohio, including occasional overnight stays.\nProvide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers and design technicians.\nEnsure quality control and compliance with applicable design standards and client requirements.\nCollaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams on project coordination and technical issues.\nContribute to project scoping, scheduling, and proposal development as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE required).\nRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment (or the ability attain within a year).\nMinimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in bridge design and bridge inspection.\nKnowledge of AASHTO and DOT bridge design standards.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to self-motivate and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
