As a Road Intern, you’ll work as part of a close-knit team on roadway projects for FDOT, cities, towns, and counties throughout Florida. Most of your work will take place in the office, with occasional site visits, as you assist with quantity takeoffs, create construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), prepare design documentation, and develop construction cost estimates. From large interstate and interchange projects to urban reconstructions, rural maintenance, and roundabouts, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of impactful transportation design by working on design calculations, roadway layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity and cost estimates\n\nGain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and work with tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\n\nGet involved in a wide variety of projects-everything from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements,
