The ideal candidate combines hands-on cloud networking expertise with strong project execution, documentation, change coordination, security awareness, and stakeholder-management skills. This role will help deliver secure, resilient, FedRAMP-aligned cloud connectivity; support TIC 3.0 migrations; monitor and optimize cloud resources; and coordinate cloud and colocation activities with CBP, network operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, engineer, test, implement, and maintain secure and resilient network connectivity for AWS, Azure, GCP, private-cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments. \nEnsure cloud services, resources, environments, and accounts align with FedRAMP, OMB, NIST, agency’s security requirements to include Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) 3.0 capabilities \nCoordinate cloud connectivity and migration activities with stakeholders, trade partners, other government agencies, preferred government agencies, airlines, and other entities as directed. \nMonitor and manage cloud network resources in accordance with CBP tagging, security, and governance policies. \nMaintain live and historical data covering utilization, projected capacity, costs, ownership, trends, and key performance indicators. \nDevelop recommendations and automation to optimize resource utilization, improve performance, reduce cost, and support government budgetary decisions. \nSupport engineering, testing, implementation, rack-and-stack, documentation, and operations and maintenance activities at CBP colocation facilities. \nMaintain colocation floor plans, rack diagrams, network topologies, equipment inventories, cabling records, and connectivity documentation. \nManage multiple cloud engineering workstreams, service requests, change requests, implementation activities, risks, dependencies, and deliverables. \nCoordinate with ISSM, ISSO, Cyber Security Directorate, NOC, EIOD, and other stakeholders to obtain required reviews and approvals before implementation. \nSupport continuous monitoring, cloud security controls, vulnerability remediation, incident coordination, and evidence collection for authorization and compliance activities. \nMaintain accurate technical, operational, configuration, and knowledge-transfer documentation to support transition and sustainment. \nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Networking and Telecommunications, or a related technical field. \nMinimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in network design, network engineering, and network operational support. \nMinimum of two (2) years of experience with cloud services, cloud networking, and cloud connectivity. \nExperience managing or supporting complex cloud projects and cloud service providers for large enterprise or Federal Government customers. \nExperience deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining cloud provider resources in AWS, Azure, GCP, private-cloud, or hybrid-cloud environments. \nWorking knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, network load balancing, DNS/DHCP, traffic optimization, VPNs, and cloud monitoring and management tools. \nExperience coordinating technical projects, change requests, service requests, schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications. \nKnowledge of FedRAMP, NIST, DHS/CBP security requirements, TIC 3.0, cloud security, and continuous monitoring practices. \nExperience in Agile Scrum issue and project tracking, preferably in the Atlassian suite. \nAbility to obtain Public Trust, Preferred Secret/Top Secret Clearance \nAWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud certification, ITIL Foundation, PMP, or related cloud/network certifications are preferred. \nPay Transparency Statement\nAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $93,900.00/Yr. - USD $156,800.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
