Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation.\nResponsibilities\nProvide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.\nDeploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.\nPerform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.\nInstallation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.\nMaintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.\nManage user accounts and permissions.\nDeploy and maintain software applications.\nTroubleshoot technical issues.\nMaintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.\nProvide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.\nSecure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance\nMaintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.\nParticipate in project planning using Agile methodology.\nProvide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.\nUnderstanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking.\nQualifications\nActive Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret (interim to start). Must be a U.S. Citizen\nRisk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience preferred (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution)\nCompTIA Sec+\nWindows or Linux OS certification\nACAS Operator and Supervisor Course completion preferred (Certification must be within the 3 year active window)\n At least 5+ years of experience\nDesired:\nSoftware familiarity:Veeam Backup\nWindows (10-11)\nWindows Server (2016-2022)\nLinux (Red Hat)\nVMWare (ESXi, VSphere, VCF, VSAN, NSX)\nCisco (iOS and NX-OS)\nPDQ Deploy\nAtlassian\nGitlab\nDatabases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)\nACAS (SecurityCenter, Nessus Scanner)\nSTIGManager\nEvaluate-STIG\nContainers (Docker, Podman)\n\nPay Transparency Statement\nAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $86,000.00/Yr. - USD $137,600/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
