This role is responsible for developing program security roadmaps aligned with program goals and managing security programs from start to finish.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced project management professional with a strong understanding of classified program operations, security requirements, cross-functional team leadership, and customer engagement within a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.\nResponsibilities\nAct as a key contact for internal stakeholders and business units in support of security-related programs and initiatives.\nDevelop security program roadmaps aligned with business objectives, compliance needs, and organizational priorities.\nManage security programs from start to finish, including planning, coordination, resource management, progress reporting, and post-implementation review.\nLead Agile-based program activities such as sprint planning, backlog coordination, team facilitation, and retrospectives.\nTrack dependencies across teams and remove blockers to enable efficient delivery of security initiatives.\nOversee security-related projects, including coordination of vendors, financial tracking, and operational support activities.\nSupport compliance and audit activities by coordinating schedules, tracking requirements, and identifying risks or challenges.\nBuild effective working relationships with business leaders, technical teams, and security stakeholders.\nRepresent the program or security function in meetings with leadership and communicate complex issues in a clear, actionable manner.\nAssist with the deployment and adoption of new security tools, processes, and capabilities.\nMonitor and report on program health, team performance, milestones, and key metrics.\nPromote continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned and improving program management processes.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in business, management, security studies, or a related field.\n5+ years of project or program management experience, including experience supporting classified or restricted programs.\nExperience working in Special Access Program, SCI, or other highly controlled environments.\nActive Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.\nStrong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and lifecycle management.\nExperience coordinating cross-functional teams and balancing competing priorities.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling/reporting tools.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nExperience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or other federal national security customers.\nFamiliarity with earned value management, risk management, and contract performance monitoring.\nExperience with program security compliance, facility operations, or classified infrastructure.\n\nPay Transparency Statement\nAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $160,000.00/Yr. - USD $185,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
