Evaluation, and Training.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Senior Program Manager with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will:\nProvide overall leadership, direction, and management for a complex technical program involving multiple projects, stakeholders, workstreams, and contractual requirements. \nBe responsible for program execution across cost, schedule, performance, risk, quality, staffing, and customer satisfaction objectives. \nLead cross-functional teams, oversees technical and operational activities, ensures alignment with strategic goals, and serves as the primary interface with customer leadership and internal executives. \nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide overall program leadership, management, and oversight for a complex technical program.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for the customer, corporate leadership, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.\n\nPlan, direct, and coordinate program activities to ensure successful execution of technical, operational, and contractual requirements.\n\nManage program scope, schedule, cost, staffing, performance, quality, and risk across all task areas.\n\nLead integrated program planning and execution across multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, cybersecurity, logistics, finance, and contracts.\n\nEstablish and maintain program governance, management processes, reporting structures, and communication plans.\n\nMonitor program performance and take corrective actions to address issues affecting cost, schedule, technical performance, or customer satisfaction.\n\nOversee development and maintenance of program management plans, integrated master schedules, risk registers, status reports, and other management artifacts.\n\nEnsure compliance with contract requirements, organizational policies, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards.\n\nDirect subcontractor and vendor performance and ensure effective integration of partner contributions.\n\nSupport business rhythms such as status meetings, program management reviews, milestone reviews, executive briefings, and customer engagements.\n\nIdentify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities.\n\nLead change management efforts, including technical changes, contract modifications, staffing changes, and evolving customer priorities.\n\nOversee resource planning, workforce management, and personnel performance to ensure the program is properly staffed and aligned to mission needs.\n\nEnsure technical teams are supported in delivering quality solutions that meet mission, operational, and performance objectives.\n\nDrive continuous improvement across program execution, delivery processes, customer engagement, and operational performance.\n\nFunctional Duties\nDevelop and execute program strategies, roadmaps, and management approaches for complex technical efforts.\n\nTranslate customer requirements and mission objectives into executable plans and measurable outcomes.\n\nLead integrated product teams and coordinate activities across multiple functional disciplines.\n\nTrack and report program status using quantitative and qualitative performance measures.\n\nAnalyze program data to identify trends, forecast issues, and support decision-making.\n\nResolve escalated issues involving technical execution, staffing, customer concerns, subcontractor performance, or schedule impacts.\n\nPrepare and deliver executive-level presentations, decision briefings, and customer communications.\n\nSupport proposal efforts, transition planning, onboarding, and program startup activities, when required.\n\nEnsure alignment between technical execution and contractual obligations.\n\nTHIS HYBRID POSITION REQUIRES 3 DAYS OF WORK IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK\n#hotjobs\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Program Management, or a related field.\n\n12+ years of experience, including substantial experience leading complex technical programs.\nPMP is desired\nSecret Clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance\nSignificant experience managing large, complex technical programs or portfolios.\n\nDemonstrated success managing program cost, schedule, performance, and risk in a customer-facing environment.\n\nExperience leading cross-functional teams in technical, operational, or mission-critical environments.\n\nStrong knowledge of program management principles, lifecycle management, and performance reporting.\n\nExperience managing customer relationships, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with executives, technical staff, and customer leadership.\n\nStrong leadership, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.\n\nTHIS HYBRID POSITION REQUIRES 3 DAYS OF WORK IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK\nPay Transparency Statement\nAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $182,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
