Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation!\nResponsibilities\nAs a Software Engineer, Journeyman, you will:\nDevelop software for aircraft autopilots and associated avionics systems.\nParticipate in ground and flight testing of the developed systems.\nWork with the latest, cutting edge technology\nWork with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.\nJoin an engaged, 100% employee-owned company\nReceive a robust benefits package that includes an Employee Stock Ownership Plan!\nA week in the life of a Software Engineer, Journeyman includes:\nDesign, develop, document, test and debug software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for aircraft autopilots and associated avionics.\nConfer with systems engineers, aerospace engineers, electrical engineers, developers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.\nIntegrate hardware / software in our System Integration Lab (SIL)\nParticipate in ground and flight testing of the developed autopilot and avionics systems.\nDevelop software using C/C++ and the Qt framework.\nDevelop avionics software in a hard real-time environment.\nDevelop avionics software in accordance with DO-178C.\nEnsure software standards within our AS9100D quality management system are met.\nQualifications\nThe qualifications needed for this position include:\nBS Computer Engineering or Computer Science Required, MS Computer Engineering Preferred\nMinimum of 6 years of work experience with C/C++ and Qt.\nMinimum of 3 years of related work experience in the field of aircraft avionics\nMinimum of 1 year of work experience with a Real Time Operating System\nActive DoD Secret security Clearance\nPay Transparency Statement\nAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
