The role requires strong experience in software engineering principles, modern development practices, and full lifecycle support within a complex technical environment.\nTHIS HYBRID POSITION REQUIRES 3 DAYS OF WORK IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software applications, services, and system components for complex technical programs.\nTranslate functional, technical, and operational requirements into software designs and implementation approaches.\nLead or support software architecture, component design, interface development, and data flow implementation.\nDevelop clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards and best practices.\nSupport software integration across distributed systems, platforms, environments, and external interfaces.\nParticipate in agile, iterative, or traditional software development lifecycle activities, as applicable.\nPerform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, defect resolution, and performance tuning.\nReview software designs, source code, and technical approaches to ensure quality, scalability, and alignment with requirements.\nSupport DevSecOps, configuration management, build, release, and deployment processes.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and test teams to ensure software meets security, performance, and operational requirements.\nDocument software designs, interfaces, configurations, and implementation details.\nSupport troubleshooting and resolution of software issues identified in development, test, production, or operational environments.\nProvide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.\nParticipate in design reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and other program technical forums.\nSupport modernization, enhancement, migration, and sustainment efforts for existing software systems\nTHIS HYBRID POSITION REQUIRES 3 DAYS OF WORK IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field and 8+ years of related work experience\nTop Secret Clearance\nPay Transparency Statement\nAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
