American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain.

ABTC is seeking a motivated and versatile Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to help build and strengthen our EHS program in a fast-growing manufacturing environment. This is a unique opportunity to advance your career while playing a key role in developing EHS processes, programs, and culture from the ground up.

Based at ABTC's Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling Facility in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC) in McCarran, Nevada, you will partner with employees and leaders across all levels of the organization to promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. Using a risk-based approach, you will drive employee engagement, support continuous improvement, and help foster a culture of safety and accountability.

In this role, you will develop, implement, and improve programs within ABTC's EHS Management System, with exposure to environmental permitting and compliance, regulatory inspections, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, construction safety, waste management, and safety program development. You will also support training initiatives, incident investigations, and corrective actions that reduce risk and improve operational performance.

You will help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations while supporting ABTC's commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and employee well-being. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow professionally while helping build a world-class EHS program in a dynamic startup environment, this role is for you.
