We are looking for talented, ambitious, and collaborative people to come alongside us as we share the life changing message of the Bible for everyone - no matter who they are or where they live.\nThe Prospect Development and Research Associate provides essential operational and research support to the development team by maintaining accurate donor data, assisting with prospect identification, and supporting research initiatives. This role ensures the integrity of the donor database, contributes to prospect pipeline development, and helps prepare data and materials that inform fundraising strategy. The position is ideal for someone detail-oriented who is developing skills in prospect research, CRM systems, and nonprofit fundraising operations.\nMinimum Spiritual and Personal Commitment:\nDemonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. \nIdentify with and participate in a Christian church and proactively seek to grow in their Christian faith. \nActively participate in organizational prayer, devotional times, and organization-wide events. \nMaintain an exemplary standard of Christian ethics, behavior, and conduct within ABS and in their public and private life outside of ABS and always seek to uphold ABS’ Standards of Conduct and Affirmation of Biblical Community. \nDemonstrate Christian maturity in all interactions as displayed by good judgment based on biblical values and principles. \nActively incorporate their faith in all aspects of their daily work. \nDemonstrate desire and ability to support organizational biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work-related spiritual activities without reservation. \nHave a personal passion for and belief in the Word of God, its ability to transform lives, and the mission of American Bible Society. \nDemonstrate alignment with the vision, mission, and values of American Bible Society.\nKey Responsibilities:\nData Management & CRM Support\nMaintain and update donor and prospect records in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and completeness. \nPerform data entry, record creation, and ongoing data maintenance. \nVerify, clean, and standardize donor and prospect data to ensure data integrity. \nUpdate prospect assignments, activities, and engagement records in the CRM. \nMonitor publicly available obituaries and update donor records accordingly. \nTrack and record philanthropic giving history of prospects. \nResearch Support\nConduct preliminary research on donors and prospects using public sources and internal tools. \nReview donor activity and giving history to help identify individuals who may warrant additional research. \nFlag individuals with potential giving capacity for further review by research staff. \nSet up and monitor news alerts for key donors and prospects. \nGather background data and supporting information for prospect profiles and briefings. \nReporting & List Preparation\nGenerate CRM reports, prospect lists, and data extracts to support fundraising initiatives. \nReview $1,000+ gift reports and identify potential new prospects. \nCompile lists for screenings, campaigns, and development outreach. \nAssist in preparing data files for wealth screenings and update records with results. \nOperational & Administrative Support\nProvide day-to-day operational support to the prospect development and research team. \nReview activity notes to support prospect tracking and preparation. \nAssist with briefing materials and meeting preparation. \nFollow established procedures for prospect research and data management. \nSupport ad hoc requests from research staff and development officers. \nServe as backup support for the Research Associate as needed.\nQualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. \nExperience: 1-3 years of experience with prospect research, data entry, administrative support, or nonprofit operations preferred.\nPreferred Skills: Interest in prospect research, fundraising, or nonprofit development. Experience working with databases or data systems. Ability to synthesize information into clear, concise summaries.\n Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
