Your ability to manage sales, inventory, merchandising, customer service, and team development will directly impact store profitability and community impact.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing store team members, including supervisors and stock associates.\nProvide coaching, performance evaluations, and development plans to enhance team productivity and engagement.\nFoster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and career growth.\nLead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and training team members on best practices.\nAddress and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.\nBuild strong relationships with customers and the local community to drive brand loyalty and repeat business.\nSupport sales targets by optimizing merchandising strategies, creating an engaging shopping environment, and promoting upselling opportunities.\nAssist in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store.\nManage inventory control, product quality, and loss prevention efforts to minimize shrinkage and optimize sales.\nEnsure accuracy in cash handling, deposits, and financial reporting.\nEnforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations while conducting regular audits and compliance checks.\nCollaborate with People & Culture and Asset Protection on investigations and corrective actions when necessary.\nSupport donation processing by ensuring efficient intake, organization, and donor engagement.\nWork closely with the Manager III and store leadership team to enhance store performance through optimized donation flow and a positive donor and shopping environment.\nOther duties as assigned by management.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n3+ years of experience in a retail management, logistics, or operations role.\nStrong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.\nAbility to multitask, prioritize, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.\nValid driver’s license in good standing with access to reliable transportation.\nSuccessful completion of a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday, primarily on tile and concrete surfaces.\nAbility to bend and reach at waist and overhead levels and perform repetitive movements associated with retail and operational activities.\nAbility to stoop, kneel, crouch, balance, climb, push, pull, handle, and carry merchandise, equipment, or other materials as needed.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nAbility to safely use ladders or other approved equipment and work at heights of up to approximately 14 feet.\nAbility to use hands and fingers for handling, grasping, feeling, and operating merchandise, equipment, POS systems, and other technology.\nMust have the visual and auditory ability necessary to communicate effectively, observe store conditions, inspect merchandise, monitor safety, and perform essential job responsibilities.\nMust be able to move throughout all areas of the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, processing areas, donation areas, and other operational spaces.\nMust be able to work both indoors in a semi-controlled retail environment and outdoors where exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures may occur.\nAbility to tolerate normal retail and donation-processing conditions, including exposure to dust, odors, and second-hand merchandise.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and respond promptly to customer service, operational, and safety-related needs.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.\n\nWHY AMERICA’S THRIFT\n\nFounded in 1984, America’s Thrift is more than a retail company — we are a team driven by purpose, community impact, and opportunity.
