This includes monitoring inventory, managing deliveries, and upholding company standards for accuracy and efficiency. The supervisor will take a hands-on approach in auditing, quality control, and training to optimize performance. They will set an example for teamwork, safety, and productivity while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDirect and supervise the work of shipping and receiving team members.\nOversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate handling.\nMaintain inventory tracking systems to record deliveries, stock levels, and discrepancies.\nEnsure proper documentation and labeling of shipments for accuracy and compliance.\nMonitor and enforce safety procedures related to material handling and equipment use.\nAnalyze daily stock levels and address shortages or overages as needed.\nAssist with recruiting, onboarding, and training team members.\nCreate and maintain team schedules based on operational needs.\nProvide coaching and feedback to improve performance and efficiency.\nMaintain organization and cleanliness of the receiving and storage areas.\nAssist with loss prevention efforts by following security protocols and ensuring compliance with company policies.\nCoordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline shipping and receiving processes.\nAssist donors per company standards.\nEnsure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.\nSupport store leadership in implementing sales and marketing programs when needed.\nOther duties as assigned by management.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nAt least two years of experience as a supervisor, team lead, or key holder in a shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse environment.\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills.\nBasic mathematical and computer skills.\nAbility to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) preferred.\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to assess and coach team performance.\nValid driver’s license and a clean driving record. \nSuccessful completion of a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS \nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete, tile, and other hard surfaces throughout the workday.\nAbility to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to frequently push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach at waist level and overhead while handling merchandise and shipments.\nAbility to climb ladders or approved equipment to access heights of up to 14 feet while maintaining balance and following safety procedures.\nAbility to perform repetitive movements, including grasping, handling, sorting, and moving merchandise.\nAbility to operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment, as trained and authorized.\nAbility to visually inspect merchandise, inventory, labels, and shipping documentation for accuracy and quality.\nAbility to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and donors in an active warehouse and retail environment.\nAbility to work in indoor environments with varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, including exposure to changing weather.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs require.\n\nWHY AMERICA’S THRIFT \n\nFounded in 1984, America’s Thrift is more than a retail company — we are a team driven by purpose, community impact, and opportunity.
