This role involves staying on top of daily production goals, ensuring fast, accurate, and efficient processing by team members, and conducting hands-on audits and quality control checks. The supervisor will actively engage with the team to assess, train, and provide coaching, setting the standard for donor experience, productivity, and customer service, in line with the America’s Thrift Core Values.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupervise and direct the daily activities of the production team. \nManage inventory tracking systems to monitor deliveries and stock levels. \nAnalyze inventory levels and anticipate shortages or issues, taking proactive steps to ensure sufficient stock. \nCommunicate targets and progress to team members. \nAssist in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of team members. \nSchedule team members according to the store’s labor requirements. \nCapable of performing all tasks required of processing team members. \nRegularly observe, coach, and recognize team members for performance. \nMaintain high standards of merchandise condition, pricing, freshness, and shop-ability. \nSupport the General Manager with sales and marketing promotions and programs as needed. \nAssist donors following company standards. \nFoster a respectful and values-driven workplace environment. \nUtilize open communication tools to translate team feedback into action. \nAddress complaints and bring them to the attention of the Assistant Store Manager or General Manager for resolution. \nSafeguard company assets and information, ensuring secure handling and integrity. \nPromote loss prevention by upholding procedures and policies. \nMaintain a safe working environment by following OSHA guidelines and ensuring compliance with safety policies. \nIn the absence of the Assistant Store Manager, manage production processes and team operations in line with all policies and regulations. \nMake decisions and take appropriate actions when Assistant Store Manager or General Manager is unavailable. \nPerform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or higher-level managers. \nOther duties as assigned by management.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nAt least two years of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or key holder role in retail or industrial processing. \nBasic mathematical, reading comprehension, and computer skills. \nHigh School diploma or GED preferred. \nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written. \nAbility to assess, observe, and coach others effectively. \nAbility to follow and apply instructions, both written and verbal. \nStrong decision-making skills, with the ability to apply sound judgment in various situations. \nSuccessful completion of background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen. \nValid driver’s license and a clean driving record. \n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS \nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete, tile, and other hard surfaces throughout the workday. \nMust be able to lift and carry merchandise, supplies, boxes, and other materials weighing up to 50 pounds. \nAbility to push and pull carts, racks, bins, and other equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. \nMust be able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach at waist level and overhead, and perform repetitive handling and grasping motions. \nAbility to climb ladders or approved equipment and safely work at heights of up to 14 feet as required. \nMust possess sufficient balance, coordination, and mobility to safely navigate processing, receiving, storage, and sales floor areas. \nAbility to use hands and fingers to handle, sort, inspect, price, tag, and process merchandise and operate job-related tools and equipment. \nMust have sufficient visual and auditory ability to inspect merchandise, monitor workflow, identify safety concerns, communicate with team members, and respond to activity within the work environment. \nAbility to perform the physical duties of processing team member positions when needed, including sorting, grading, pricing, tagging, hanging, moving, and preparing merchandise. \nMust be able to perform physical activities while supervising, training, coaching, and assisting team members in a fast-paced production environment. \nAbility to work indoors in a semi-controlled temperature environment and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions as business needs require. \nMust be able to work a flexible schedule that may include regular business hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays based on operational needs. \nMust be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\nWHY AMERICA’S THRIFT \n\nFounded in 1984, America’s Thrift is more than a retail company — we are a team driven by purpose, community impact, and opportunity.
