The role involves serving as a liaison between corporate headquarters and the field, collaborating with cross-functional groups to develop budgets and forecasts, and performing variance analyses. You will also execute key internal controls, assist with audits, and support special projects as needed, which may include accounting research and integration of newly acquired facilities.\nEssential Functions\nExecute general ledger accounting processes from end-to-end, including preparation of monthly journal entries.\nConduct reviews and reconciliations of monthly balance sheet accounts, with a focus on cash reconciliations.\nServe as liaison between corporate headquarters and geographically distributed assigned sites.\nCollaborate with cross-functional groups to develop budgets and forecasts and perform variance analyses.\nAnalyze financial data and problem-solve related to assigned areas and accounts.\nExecute key internal controls and support auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit.\nAssist with special projects such as accounting research and integration of newly acquired facilities.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\n1 year of Accounting experience required.\nBachelor's degree in Accounting required.\nThorough understanding of GAAP.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.\nExperience with major ERP systems required.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nMaster's degree in Accounting preferred.\nCPA certification or CPA track preferred.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume and changing environment.\nEffective verbal and written communication.\nAbility to meet deadlines consistently.\nAbility to work collaboratively within a team.\nAbility to analyze and interpret financial data.\nCommitment to providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.\nRequires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.\nRequires ability to comprehend and communicate with others, verbally and/or in writing.\nMay require travel by automobile and airplane for business.\nMay require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.\nMay require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.\nAmericold is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
