You will facilitate and manage the battery changing process, operate warehouse equipment, and ensure machinery and safety equipment are maintained and compliant with OSHA standards.\nEssential Functions\nMaintain and repair batteries and chargers in accordance with OSHA standards.\nFacilitate and manage the battery changing process within the warehouse.\nOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and battery chargers as needed.\nClean and lubricate machinery parts to ensure proper functioning.\nMaintain tools and machinery in good working condition.\nTest safety equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.\nParticipate in HAZMAT responder training as required.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nBasic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.\nMathematical calculation and documentation skills.\nBasic computer skills including email, internet searches, and data entry.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nFlexibility to work various shifts, including on-call.\nParticipation in HAZMAT responder training.\nEffective verbal and written communication.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius) and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation). \nAble to work at heights in excess of 30 ft. (9 meters) and access elevated platforms, catwalks, and roofs. \nAble to work in confined areas. \nAble to climb ladders and stairs. \nAble frequently to stand, walk, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. \nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg) frequently. \nAble to operate hand and power tools safely. \nAble to meet specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. (Use of contacts are prohibited when working with ammonia.) \nDepending on specific role, able to pass a physical and respiratory/respirator fit exam. \nAble to frequently step up/on or step down/off to mount and dismount material handling equipment. \nAble to perform fine articulation movements with fingers/hands and/or feet to operate equipment. \nAble to wear personal protective equipment required for any/all tasks. \nAmericold is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
